Baroque presents Invitation to the Dance celebrating the dance and diplomacy of Louis XIV’s Master of the King’s Music and the soft power of Jean-Baptiste Lully\, performing works by Rebel\, Graupner\, Erlebach\, Telemann\, Purcell\, Oswald\, Lully\, and Roman. \nThe early music ensemble is joined by flautist Sally Walker and newcomer to the ensemble\, baroque dancer Aimee Brown\, along with ensemble members Sally Melhuis and Alana Blackburn (recorders)\, Jane Downer (oboe)\, John Ma and Jared Adams (violins); Brad Tham (viola)\, Tim Blomfield (bass violin)\, George Wills (theorbo/guitar)\, Will Naayen (percussion) and Monika Kornel (harpsichord). \nSalut! Baroque also presents Invitation to the Dance in Canberra on Friday\, 24 April at 7.30pm at Wesley Church\, Forrest. \nBookings.
