Pianist Virginia Black In Recital

Virginia Black

Internationally renowned English virtuoso pianist Virginia Black invites you to share an evening of power, passion, tenderness and wonderful imagination with the music of Bach, Rameau and Beethoven.

Having once again delighted audiences in Europe with her recent recital tour, Virginia now comes to the Utzon Room to display her intimate style and sentient musicality.

She has chosen to highlight the pure precision and inventiveness of Bach’s Partita No 5, a selection of Rameau’s descriptive pieces, in which intellectualism and technical brilliance combine, and Beethoven’s magnificent “Tempest” sonata, which displays all the characteristic passion and power that make him “the king of the sonata.”
