Sirius Chamber Ensemble Performs The Music Of Allan Holley

In September the Sirius Chamber Ensemble with guest artist  soprano Taryn Srhoj co-presents A Portrait Concert – The Music of Alan Holley a concert which celebrates Sydney composer Alan Holley’s 60th birthday. The programme features a retrospective of Holley’s works and other music which has had a profound influence on the composer’s career. 

The programme:

  • Lutoslawski – Dance Preludes for clarinet & piano                                     
  • Holley – Sky Musics for oboe and piano                                                     
  • Holley – Opal Wings II (new arrangement) for clarinet, violin, cello and piano
  • Messiaen – Le Merle Noir for flute and piano
  • Holley – Take flight for violin and cello                     
  • Eve Duncan – Madonna and Child with Goldfinch for soprano, flute, clarinet, violin and cello   
  • Holley – Borneo Songs for mezzo-soprano and wind quintet

Adults $30 / Concession $20 / Child $10
