Australian Chamber Orchestra Pays Homage With Beethoven 250

The Australian Chamber Orchestra presents Beethoven 250, in tribute to one of the world’s most influential composers in celebration of the 250th anniversary of his birth. After what has been an incredibly challenging year for many, the ACO will be closing 2020 with some of the most sublime and deeply moving music ever written.

This special one-hour performance led by Richard Tognetti showcases the magnitude of Beethoven’s enduring legacy, opening with music by Schubert and moving through the world premiere of Anna Clyne’s Stride, inspired by Beethoven’s Pathetique piano sonata, and Vaughan Williams’ soaring The Lark Ascending. The concert concludes with Beethoven’s moving Cavatina & Grosse Fuge, a timeless masterpiece considered to be one of Beethoven’s greatest achievements.

Tickets from $49.
