Deborah Humble

International mezzo-soprano Deborah Humble will be performing a recital as part of the 27th Annual Glebe Festival.

Most recently, Deborah Humble’s appearances on stage have included Strauss’ Elektra and Honegger’s Jeanne d’Arc au Boucher in Hamburg, Das Rheingold and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in Hong Kong, Siegfried in Boston, Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 in Singapore, Parsifal and Verdi’s Requiem in the UK, Bluebeard’s Castle in Melbourne and Tristan und Isolde in Mexico City.

Performing with Deborah Humble are pianist John Martin, baritone Christopher Tonkin and violist Victoria Jacomo-Gilmovich.

The programme: Brahms Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy Songs)/ Four duets for baritone and mezzo Opus 28/Two Songs for Alto, Viola and piano/ Chopin Impromptu No 1 Opus 29 (piano)/ Wagner Wesendonck Lieder/ Glinka Allegro Moderato in D minor (viola and piano)

Tickets: $20/$15, available at the door.
