Omega Ensemble Highlights French Horn

Nicolas Fleury, Principal Horn of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, joins Omega Ensemble for Melodies and Melodrama in a performance full of twists and turns.

Omega Ensemble’s colorful season finale contains some of the most glorious music written for French Horn. The soaring melodies and sumptuous textures of Dohnányi’s colossal Sextet and Brahms’ brooding Piano Quartet No. 1 are imbued with equal romantic passion and unabashed melodrama. Also in the program is a world premiere from French composer Laurent Lefrançois, commissioned by Omega Ensemble.
