Australian Haydn Ensemble Plays Beethoven’s Fifth

The Australian Haydn Ensemble continues its exploration of historical arrangements of Beethoven’s masterworks on period instruments with a program of music by Boccherini, Ries and Beethoven.
In this concert you will hear the world premiere of William Watts’s unique version of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, arranged around 1820.
Performances in Sydney, the ACT, regional NSW and on Australian Digital Concert Hall.
The program: BOCCHERINI Night Music of the Streets of Madrid Op. 30, No. 6/ FERDINAND RIES Symphony No. 3 (arr. Ries)/ BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 5 (arr. Watts)
CONCERT DURATION:
Approx 120 minutes with a 20 minute interval.
