Bach in the Dark Cello Sextet

Bach in the Dark presents Cello Sextet Live Stream – Cellissimo with founding artistic director and cellist Rachel Scott sayin “The only thing better than one cello, in my opinion, is more cellos.”

Bach in the Dark finishes 2023 with a special live-streamed concert so everyone around the country (and beyond) can join in. Performing woth Scott is her former teacher, dear friend and audience favourite, David Pereira, senior lecturer at the Australian National University. For this concert, he brings four of his best students to join in the music-making for a night to remember, celebrating all things cello, as well as a celebration of David’s teaching.

The concert will start with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 6, and also feature music by Mendelssohn, Fauré, Strauss and finish with a few dances in this unusally large Bach in the Dark ensemble.

Ticket sales will close at 4.30pm on the day of the concert. The stream will also stay accessible for a week after the concert. Dark,The live stream will be broadcast on the YouTube platform. You will need a link to access the stream – this link will be emailed to all ticket purchasers 2 hours before the event. If you have not received the link by 5.30pm (Sydney time) on the day of the concert, please email bachinthedark@gmail.com so it can be sent to you directly.
