Omega Ensemble’s Distant World takes you from Arvo Pärt’s meditative Spiegel im Spiegel with each note meticulously placed, to Jabra Latham’s powerful Fire Music, inviting you to consider the state of our planet and our place within it.

Featuring a transportive world premiere by Melbourne-based composer Miriama Young, as well as Peteris Vasks’ anguished Piano Quartet, this performance is a call for personal reflection and global action.

There are two concerts in Sydney at the The Neilson, ACO on the Pier and one in Melbourne at the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre. Tour dates 13 – 17 May 2025.
