Osmo Vänskä Conducts The Sydney Symphony Orchestra

Finnish star conductor and ‘our greatest living Sibelian’ (Sunday Times), Osmo Vänskä, will reunite with the Sydney Symphony for the first time since 2014 to bring to life the rich and evocative soundworld of Sibelius.

Osmo Vänskä Conducts the Music of Sibelius (24-27 April) will see Vänskä join forces with acclaimed Finnish soprano Helena Juntunen in a heartfelt celebration of their homeland. Together, they will perform five songs inspired by Finnish folklore including Sibelius’ national epic Luonnator, alongside the heroic Lemminkäinen Suite including the beloved The Swan of Tuonela.
