Out West Piano Fest Returns In Spring

Out West Piano Fest returns to Bathurst this spring from Friday October 25 to Sunday October 27, 2024 for a weekend of world-class piano and gastronomy. There are Festival Packages and an Early Bird offer available until mid-June.
In 2024, highlights of Out West Piano Fest will include five magnificently themed concerts matched with lavish food and wine events showcasing the best of the Central West producers. Over the course of the weekend, audiences will experience a masterfully curated program by festival Music Director Konstantin Shamray, inspired by the colours and tones of nature and an eclectic palette of composers.
Leading Australian pianists Lee Dionne, Vatche Jambazian and Grace Kim join Konstantin to showcase music by some of the greatest composers – Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite along with Chopin, Liszt, Bach, Schumann, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev and more. Two concert grand pianos will take pride of place, on which the performers will present music for solo piano and ensembles.
Early-bird package prices ranging from $710 to $825 for a premium package, inclusive of food and wine and the best seats in the house. All concerts feature allocated seating.
The festival returns to Blackdown Farm, the former home of Australian artist Tim Storrier, surrounded by 17 acres of beautifully maintained gardens and fields.
As one of the Central West’s most beautiful towns, Bathurst is a popular choice for Sydney weekenders, located only a short three-hour drive away and featuring an abundance of historical sites, breathtaking landscapes and a thriving art scene.
Festivities include welcome drinks on Friday followed by a sunset dinner in the picturesque Olive Grove and three concerts on Saturday with an exquisite long table lunch under the crab-apple tree blossoms in full spring bloom. Sunday concludes with two more concerts and a sit-down farewell lunch.
