Soqquadro Christmas Concert

Chanteuse Nadia Piave and her ensemble present Soqquadro Christmas Concert, 2022, the 5th annual Soqquadro event which will be a glorious, miraculous harvest of Christmas folk carols, lullabies, cantios and songs of Christmas cheer.
And in keeping with our traditional bubbles and ‘bakes’ refreshment offering, please feel free to contribute with your own favourite ‘figgy pudding’ cakes and bakes – home-made is encouraged!
Soqquadro, the only Italian word featuring ‘qq’, means ‘happily upside down’, and so it is that the repertoire in these Christmas concerts is always a happy upside-down mix of carols and songs, and this year we feature songs from Hertfordshire, The Daily Dispatch of 1935, County Down, The Milleres Tale, a Dublin Troper, a Benedictine Nunnery in 14th century Chester, the Saronic Islands, a misty Ireland, Sheffield, the tradition of the Sicilian cantastorie, a Renaissance banquet, a Scottish miner, a 1642 London Broadside, Cornwell, the Isle of Man, 13th century Wessex and the Piae Cantiones collection. And once again we’re performing something gentle, soothing and reflective in our post-concert ‘meditation moment’.

Cancellation and Covid Policy: In order to put on a concert of this type a goodly amount of funds are required that also need to be bolstered by ticket sales – therefore in the event of Cancellation due to misadventure or Covid, in lieu of Refunds, Nadia will be offering Complimentary Tickets to any Nadia Piave concert events in 2023 to the value of $47.50 per ticket.
