Young Mannheim Symphonists In Concert

The Young Mannheim Symphonists present their NSW Intensive Final Concert conducted by Rachael Beesley performing music by Mozart and Beethoven amongst music by Stamitz, Reicha and other composers of the classical and romatic eras.
Run by the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, the Young Mannheim Symphonists youth orchestra program is a unique and exciting program designed to give secondary and tertiary students and emerging musicians the opportunity to discover for themselves the magic of approaching music with a historical performance style.
After a hugely successful VIC Intensive, the ensemble is in Sydney for the YMS 2023 NSW Intensive, where 32 young musicians have learnt, rehearsed and now perform magnificent Mannheim, Classical and Romantic orchestral and chamber works in historically informed performance (HIP) style.
The program includes Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro” Overture and Beethoven’s exuberant Symphony No.7.
