Chanson! Chanteuses! Champagne! Cinema!

The French Revue, starring Amandine Petit, Sylvie Renaud-Calmel and  Katy Tsai present a musical homage to French cinema for all lovers of French music, performing a one-off concert of songs and music from the French movies.

Step back in time in Slide Lounge’s nouveau Parisian cabaret club for a special show dedicated to the golden age of Saint-Germain des Prés with soundtracks from classic movies by Francois Truffaut and Claude Lelouch; rediscover the musical genre a la française of Jacques Demy, the colourful universe of Moulin-Rouge or the classic Edith Piaf songs as feature in the award-winning movie La vie en rose.

Complemented by visuals and movie clips, the evening will also feature soundtracks from movies seen in recent years at the Alliance Française Sydney French Film festival.

Since 2009 when the French Revue first appeared at the Opening Gala of the French Film festival the, ensemble has been performing regularly at the Basement, the Vanguard, Slide and the Mosman Art Gallery with a particular focus on French and European cabaret.
