Yannick Nézet-Séguin Appointed To The Met

Canadian conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, 41, has been appointed music director of New York’s Metropolitan Opera. It’s a critical time at which he succeeds James Levine who led the company for over four decades.

Nézet-Séguin presently heads up the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra. He will take over at the met in 202 but will be creatively involved from 2017.
