La Traviata In Pictures – Opens Tonight!

Opening tonight in the Joan Sutherland Theatre at the Sydney Opera House is Opera Australia’s sumptuous production of La Traviata. This revival of Elijah Moshinsky’s vision of Verdi’s enormously popular opera is directed by Roger Press.

Albanian soprano Ermonela Jaho opens in the role of Violetta Valéry later sung by Lorina Gore and Emma Matthews.   The season lasts from February 3 – April 1, 2017. Scroll down to see all 6 images.
