Bel A Cappella Rings In The Festive Season

Sydney choral ensemble Bel a cappella, conducted by its music director, Anthony Pasquill, presents Noël!, a programme of music to ring in the festive season. This final concert of 2019 is a collection of a capella choral music that reflects and celebrates the mystery of Advent and Christmas.

The programme includes classics like Benjamin Britten’s A Boy Was Born with the Mass in A minor by Imogen Holst, daughter of Gustav and musical assistant to Britten.

Contemporary composers are acknowledged with works by Alice Chance (Three Kings), Clare Maclean (We Welcome Summer), an Australian premiere by Cheryl Frances-Hoad (There is no Rose) and Eric Whitacre (The Chelsea Carol).
