Pinchgut Opera Presents A Baroque Extravaganza At The Art Gallery

Continuing its 60th anniversary celebrations, the Art Gallery Society of NSW presents the final concert in its 2013  Resonate series. This unique blend of art and music, celebrates thirteen years of bringing fine music into the Gallery. Before each concert, immerse yourself in the diverse worlds the Gallery’s major exhibitions bring to light, then lose yourself listening to music by the world’s greatest composers.

This final concert celebrates the music of the Italian Baroque. Music director and harpsichordist, Erin Helyard, and some of the finest musicians from Pinchgut Opera will perform works by Cavalli, Bononcini, Merula and more. Whether you’re a first-timer, or part of the Pinchgut family, this concert will delight. Pinchgut is one of the gems of the Australian arts scene, as they focus on presenting innovative and rare works of the highest quality.
