Clarinetist Ian Sykes is pianist Chris Cartner’s guest instrumentalist in a programme of seductive and stirring music from France.

The centrepiece in this enticing bill is Poulenc’s haunting and brilliant Sonata for Clarinet and Piano.The programme also features the luscious, late-romantic Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Saint-Saëns and the playful Duo Concertante by Darius Milhaud,
