Maxim Vengerov In Recital

One of the world’s finest musicians, the brilliant, Grammy Award-winning violinist Maxim Vengerov returns to Australia this December after a 15 year absence, to perform four gala recitals around the country, celebrating Musica Viva’s 70th birthday.

An exponent of the incomparable Russian technique, Maxim Vengerov will be accompanied by the celebrated Russian pianist Roustem Saitkoulov in this first national recital tour of Australia. Together they will perform works by Beethoven, Ravel and Paganini. Maxim Vengerov will also perform works for solo violin by JS Bach, Ysaÿe and Ernst.

Commenting on the recital format, Maxim Vengerov admits to being a “passionate recitalist,” adding “I try to put together programs that are full of variety. The idea is to give the audience a full spectrum of emotions.”
