Alex Briger Conducts The Willoughby Symphony

Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Australia World Orchestra, Alex Briger, will lead the Willoughby Symphony with virtuoso flautist, Jane Rutter, in a program entitled Majestic Mozart presenting the music of Ravel, Mozart and Beethoven.

Alex Briger performs regularly with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and has worked with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Paris Chamber Orchestra, Danish Symphony Orchestra, Belgium National Orchestra, Monte Carlo Philharmonic and with the London Sinfonietta for the premiere of Arvo Pärt’s Lamentate.

 In his native Australia, Alex has conducted the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, West Australian, Queensland and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras. Future engagements include Mahler’s 9th Symphony with the Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute as well as the Australia World Orchestra, and Janacek’s Katya Kabanova with the Toulon Opera.
