Australian Chamber Orchestra Plays Brahms And Dvořák

In its 2019 season finale, the Australian Chamber Orchestra will more than triple in size to perform the music of Brahms and Dvořák.

ACO Artistic Director Richard Tognetti and ACO Principal Cello Timo-Veikko Valve join forces to present Brahms’ brilliant Double Concerto, before a performance of Dvořák’s Symphony No.8 on their magnificent Golden Age instruments.

The world premiere of Australian composer Andrew Ford’s Fanfare for Neverland opens the concert, followed by the Australian premiere of US composer Andrew Norman’s Gran Turismo, a flamboyant, motoric work for eight virtuoso violinists that drew inspiration from high-speed car racing.

Tickets to Brahms & Dvořák start at $56* and $25** for students.
