Australian Singing Competition Announces 2023 Adjudicators


The Australian Singing Competition has announced the names of the adjudicators who will assist National Adjudicator, Patrick Togher, over the coming year of the 2023 competition. 

Adjudicating the heats will be Dr Rowena Cowley (Senior Lecturer, Voice and Opera, Sydney Conservatorium) and Jane Ede (Principal soprano, Opera Australia), in Sydney; Richard Mills (Artistic Director, Victorian Opera) and Roxane Hislop (Melbourne Conservatorium) in Melbourne; Andrew Dalton (Griffith Conservatorium) and Hayley Sugars (Mezzo soprano, Opera Queensland) in Brisbane; and Brad Cohen (Artistic Director, New Zealand Opera) and Richard Greager (New Zealand School of Music) in Wellington. 

National Adjudicator Patrick Togher, former principal tenor and founding director of Patrick Togher Artist Management, will be joined in judging the semi-finals and finals by Dr Rowena Cowley, Senior Lecturer, Voice and Opera, Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Semi-Finals only), Nicole Dorigo, specialist language coach, Amelia Farrugia, soprano, Paul Fitzsimon, conductor and Chorus Master at Opera Australia and Dr Anke Ryan, Voice and Opera, Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Finals only)
