Avan Yu, 24 years old, from Canada, whose parents played Mozart to him as baby, has won the 2012 Sydney International Piano Competition. His prizes include recording contracts with ABC Classics and Naxos, and opportunities to perform a national tour as well as in festivals in Europe. hear him perform at the City Recital Hall in Sydney on August 12th at 2.30 pm.
