Chopin Competition Winner Bruce Liu On Deutsche Grammophon
Deutsche Grammophon has released recordings of Chopin Piano Competition winner Bruce Liu, made during various live stages of this contest which was held in Warsaw in October 2021.
Born in Paris in 1997 to Chinese parents from Beijing, Liu’s family moved to Montreal when he was six. He began playing the piano aged eight years and was performing in competitions by the age of eleven. Liu is a graduate of the Montreal Conservatory of Music and is presently studying with Đặng Thái Sơn at the Université de Montréal.
Bruce Liu has performed with major ensembles including the Cleveland Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra of the Americas, and has toured with the China NCPA Orchestra in North America.
