Eloquence Launches New Website
Recording label Eloquence has launched a new website EloquenceClassics.com.
The world-wide label established in 1999 is dedicated to the reissue of a vast backlog of recordings, the focus being on recordings not yet released beyond their vinyl format.
The label has nearly 1000 titles in its catalogue. Reissues for 2017 will include material from the rich archives of Decca and Deutsche Grammophon with 75 titles added to the collection. The highlights include the complete studio recordings of Australian pianist Eileen Joyce, the complete Decca recitals of Greek soprano Irma Kolassi, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with Fritz Lehmann, and Melba’s Farewell – Dame Nellie Melba’s final recital.
The recordings in the Eloquence catalogue have received extensive reviews in the international press, including Gramophone, International Record Review, Fanfare (USA), Diapason and Classica (France) and Limelight and recieve regular airplay.
Alongside a catalogue of internationally venerated artists such as Sir Georg Solti, Ernerst Ansermet, Alicia de Larrocha, Hilde Gueden and Pierre Monteux, Eloquence unearths a prodigious number of forgotten or underappreciated musicians, such as tenor Ticho Parly, pianist Erik Then-Bergh and The Purcell Consort of Voices.
The website showcases a comprehensive mixture of features, including:

• preview track listening for many of the albums
• reviews of some of the original albums as well as the Eloquence reissues
