Ensemble Offspring Showcases Graduates Of Hatched Academy

EO

Ensemble Offspring is joined by two outstanding young musicians, Jeremy Rose and Callum G’Froerer in concert celebrating the culmination of the inaugural Hatched Academy.

During 2014, composer and jazz saxophonist Jeremy Rose and genre-hopping trumpeter Callum G’Froerer have worked closely with Ensemble Offspring’s Artistic Directors and musicians, gaining hands-on experience of the inner workings of an established chamber ensemble.

This informal one-hour concert showcases a diverse program of firsts, which will be introduced by the composers and their dedicatees. The programme features several world premieres and an Australian premiere.

Future Hatched Academy applicants are urged to come along and everyone is welcome afterwards at Bar Luca for a chance to chat with the artists.

The programme:
Jeremy Rose – Rites & Border Control (world premieres)
Karlheinz Stockhausen – QUITT (Australian premiere)
Amanda Cole – Objectified (world premiere)
Cornelis Fuhler – Tinderbox Empty Gizzards (world premieres)
Matthias Pinscher – Shining Forth
