Advent At Christ Church St Laurence

Christ Church St Laurence will be celebrating Advent with a ‘full’ version of their annual Service of Lessons and Carols, on the evening of Advent Sunday, 27 November.
The music even includes a new (well, written in 2020) piece by one of my fellow choristers – as she is a chorister, she knows how to write for singers – I think you might enjoy it… and the rest!
Lasting approximately one hour, this event, returning for the first time in three years, will comprise mostly music sung by the prestigious Choir of Christ Church St Laurence, directed by Sam Allchurch, readings, only some of which are from the Bible and hymns which, of course, come with ‘audience participation. There is no sermon and Christ Church St Laurence welcomes all.
The service is free, seating is unreserved with no need to book and there is step-free access at the George St entrance.
