Pianist Kirill Gerstein Tours For Musica Viva Australia

Russian-American pianist Kirill Gerstein tours Australia with a series of solo piano recitals for Musica Viva Australia in June.
Based in Berlin, Gerstein is Spotlight Artist with the London Symphony Orchestra in 2024 and performs with orchestras across Europe and the US. His Australian concerts offer the rare chance to experience this artist in recital.
Gerstein performs some of the classics of the solo piano repertoire, including works by Chopin, Fauré and Poulenc. He takes on Liszt’s powerful Polonaise in E and Schumann’s riotous Carnival of Vienna. Finally, he premieres a major new work from one of Australia’s most respected composers, Liza Lim.
