Jayson Gilham: Debut Album Launch Tour

London-based Australian pianist Jayson Gilham performs in Sydney celebrating the launch of his debut album Bach | Schubert | Chopin.  The album was recorded in Reitstadel in Neumarkt, near Nuremberg in Germany with the talents of Tonmeister Andreas Neubronner.

The concerts will include both a recital and concerto performances.

Gilham’s concerto concert will feature Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 4 – the performance of which won him first prize at the Montreal International Piano Competition in 2014. He performs this with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy. Gilham’s solo recital features the music of JS Bach, Handel, Beethoven and Schumann.

The album, to be released on October 7 contains JS Bach’s Toccata in C minor, BWV911, F Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A major, D664 and two works by Chopin, the Prelude in C-sharp minor, Op. 45 and the Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58.
