ARIA Award-winning pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska and acclaimed composer/pianist Elena Kats-Chernin are joined by Live at Lunch Artistic Director and flautist Jane Rutter, in Russian Rhapsodies: Four Hands and a Flute, the second concert in the popular lunchtime concert series.

With four hands at the one piano, the duo will perform a range of Kats-Chernin’s music, as well as the richly beautiful works of Rachmaninov, Ravel, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky.

Prodigiously gifted, Tamara-Anna Cislowska gave her first public performance at the age of two and began recording material at three. Aged 14 she became the youngest pianist to receive the prestigious ABC Symphony Australia Young Performers Award and most recently received the ARIA Award for ‘Best Classical Album’ in 2015.

Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin has created works for the Vienna Boys Choir, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the state symphony orchestras of Australia. One of the most cosmopolitan composers working today, Elena’s dramatic and vivid music communicates both light-heartedness and heavy melancholy, combining rhythmic figures with elements of folk music, cabaret, tango and ragtime.
