‘Life’s a Stage’ premieres for Chinese New Year

 

To celebrate Chinese New Year 2013, Australasian Art and Stageworks present the premiere of Chinese operatic drama Life’s A Stage.  The plot revolves around a famous Hong Kong opera star diagnosed with a terminal illness. She is faced with the impossible decision of whether to break her vow of secrecy when an opportunity arises to meet the son she was forced to give up.

Playing the lead role in Life’s A Stage, Australian actress Gabrielle Chan, who has appeared in many short and feature films, including the award winning films Home Song Stories, The Last Chip, Celestial Avenue, and The Love Song of Iskra Prufrock. Gabrielle has also appeared in Channel 7’s City Homicide and the SBS TV series KICK.

Life’s A Stage was written by Joe Chan and directed by Harry Tseng, and features Jemwel Danao, Daphne Lowe-Kelly, Michael Quan, Linda Liu, Mona Chung, Lucia Chung, Thomas Wong, Lily Chan and Austin Har.
