Operantics Moves Into Oratorio With St Matthew Passion

Operantics in partnership with St Stephen’s Uniting Church and Sydney Care presents J S Bach’s thrilling St Matthew Passion conducted by Luke Spicer for its first ever production with orchestra. Led by Artistic Director and soprano, Katie Miller-Crispe, Operantics aims to provide a platform for developing and emerging Australian artists to gain invaluable performance experience in operatic performance.

This year , Operantics is moving into an exciting period of growth, presenting a more varied program of works including oratorio and more intimate recitals alongside its main stage productions.

A vibrant young company, Operantics has presented two Australian premieres as well as eight staged operas and concerts featuring more than fifty young artists and creatives since 2015.

Operantics is partnering with local charity, Sydney Care to perform this oratorio for the worthy cause of supporting their substantial work through the power of music and in the historic St Stephen’s Uniting Church.
