Sydney Eisteddfod Announces 2022 Kawai Piano Scholarship Finalists
The Sydney Eisteddfod has selected four outstanding pianists to compete in the final round of its 2022 Kawai Piano Scholarship Final. The four finalists were selected from 20 of Australia’s most talented emerging pianists from whom nine semi-finalists were selected.
From this group of nine, four pianists were selected to compete in the final. They are:
- Oscar Wong from Gold Coast, QLD
- Maryann Gou from Auburn, NSW
- Winnie Su from Ryde, NSW
- Joshua Han from Beaumont Hills, NSW
The finalists were selected by adjudicators; Jerry Wong, Brenda Jones, Jerard Heffernan, and Tony Lee. his Sydney Eisteddfod Kawai Piano Scholarship was established to discover and encourage promising young pianists, aged 17-26 years, on the cusp of a professional career and offers a total prize value of $13,500 for further study in Australia or overseas. It attracts pianists across Australia with extraordinary music talent and level of skill required for a professional career.
The Sydney Eisteddfod 2022 Kawai Piano Scholarship Final will be held on Friday 5 August, 6pm at the Zenith Theatre, Chatswood. Tickets.
