Sydney Sings – A New Festival Is Launched
There is to be an exciting new festival in Sydney this year!
From July 28 to August 7, 2016, Destination New South Wales will host thousands of Australian and international choirs and soloists in Sydney Sings, showcasing numerous genres of vocal music from choral music to music theatre, folk and world music and solo performances.
A highlight of the festival will be an outdoor performance of Carl Orff’s musical setting of the 24 medieval poems of Carmina Burana with massed choirs, orchestras and dancers.
