Sydney University Graduate Choir Calls For Guest Singers
Sydney University Graduate Choir invites singers to join its Sydney Sings® concert in November at the Sydney Town Hall.
Returning in 2022, join the choir to sing the famous Ode to Joy from Beethoven’s magnificent Ninth Symphony accompanied by full orchestra and four outstanding soloists.
Also on the program is the world premiere of The Redfern Oratorio composed and conducted by Christopher Bowen OAM, composer of the very special An Australian War Requiem performed at Sydney Sings in 2014 and 2018. Inspired by Paul Keating’s significant 1992 Redfern Speech, The Redfern Oratorio imagines a shared future with Indigenous Australians and a longing for reconciliation. It also echoes the hopes and aspirations of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy.
