The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess – The Story Behind The Copyright

This weekend, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s production of The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess opens at the Sydney Opera House.

In the 1990s, the executors of the Gershwin estate re-titled the Gershwin – Haywards’ 1935 magnum opus calling it now, The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
