Following their successful performances in Germany with the Telemann Project program, the Sydney Consort invites you to share this charismatic music with them which commemorates the 250th anniversary of Telemann’s death.

The music consists of lesser or almost unknown works of the famous Georg Philipp Telemann. Most of the compositions performed on the evening still exist only in facsimile form. They have never received a modern edition and are rarely performed. Although focussing on the music of a single composer, the ensemble reports that their German audiences were delighted with this idea and the ensemble’s interpretation of their great master.

The performers: Hans-Dieter Michatz recorder, Stan W Kornel baroque violinand Monika Kornel harpsichord.
