The Sydney Consort Performs Bach’s Harpsichord Concerti

The Sydney Consort returns to the beautiful Church of St Augustine in Balmain with more music from the baroque era in their concert 1+2+3 (Bach’s Concerti).

The opening performance of the 2016 concert season will feature Bach’s rarely performed concerti for one, two and three harpsichords and strings, by this most prolific writer of baroque music.

For the concert, the ensemble welcomes Israeli virtuoso harpsichordist, Michael Tsalka. The program will also feature a jazzy version of Bach’s famous double violin concerto.

J S Bach: Concerto for harpsichord & strings in D Major BWV 1054/ Concerto for 2 harpsichords & strings in C Major BWV 1061/ Concerto for 2 violins in d Minor BWV 1043 (jazzy version by Profesor Teddy Bor) / Concerto for 3 harpsichords & strings in C Major BWV 1064.
