Bo Holten Sets The Song Company ‘On Fire’

The Song Company celebrates the heat and raw passion of FIRE and the music that expresses it, in its latest program Vocal Fireworks which also marks the final stage of a four-year cycle of concerts themed around the elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire.  

As part of its 30th Anniversary celebrations, The Song Company welcomes Danish Guest Director and composer, Bo Holten in this inaugural collaboration. Together, they have created an incendiary program of neck-breaking speeds, hair-raising leaps and awe-inspiring harmonies from Spain to Australia and from the Renaissance to today.

Composer and conductor, Bo Holten is widely acknowledged as an expert in early vocal polyphony. He is one of Denmark’s most celebrated and admired musicians. His oeuvre includes the opera Operation Orfeo, concertos, vocal works, and music for Lars von Trier’s film The Element of Crime.
