Classical Singing Entries For The 2024 Sydney Eisteddfod Close Soon

Shout out to classical singers! Entries for classical singers in the 2024 Sydney Eisteddfod close on Sunday 31 March. Video submissions for the Opera Scholarship are due on Monday 29 April 2024.
Whether you love to sing Lieder, French or Italian art songs, oratorios, or operatic arias, this is your moment! There will be opportunities to perform under professional lighting and sound at The Concourse in Chatswood and at Chippen Street Theatre, Sydney’s freshest creative hub.
You can meet fellow singers and music lovers, join a vibrant creative community, and above all experience the joy of performing in front of a supportive and enthusiastic audience. All the classical singing events take place in June and July.
The Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship events are held on 14 July, when you may be selected to perform with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Milton AM. You could also take your career to the next level with a $43,000 scholarship.
This year, adjudicators include distinguished soprano Merlyn Quaife AM and Dr Stephen Mould, formerly Head of Music at Opera Australia, now a Senior Lecturer in Conducting, Opera Studies and Repetiteurship at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and Artistic Director of the Conservatorium Opera.
