Flute Vox Recital
In this program flautist Laura Chislett and pianist Stephanie McCallum will perform music from their 2015 CD Flute Vox as well as Andrew Ford’s 1993 dramatic soliloquy for solo bass flute, Becalmed.
Also on the programme, the premiere of a work written especially for the duo by the Australian composer now resident in Paris, Gerald Glynn.
Glynn writes: “Looking at paintings, commenting on them and reacting to them is a highly personal, subjective activity”. His Five Portraits are vivid sonic reactions which reflect the proportion, grandeur and richness of colour in the portraits of great artists.”
