The Australia Ensemble @UNSW’s Free Workshop Series presents its 2015 curtain raiser – a performance master-class with Perth -based mezzo-soprano Fiona Campbell.

Fiona’s career spans both the sacred and the secular, on stage and on CD. She is a regular soloist with numerous ensembles including all of the major ensembles and orchestras in Australia, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, SSO, MSO, TSO and WASO, Pinchgut Opera, WA Opera, Opera Queensland and Opera Australia. Overseas, she has worked with the Brodsky Quartet, Tokyo Philharmonic, Soloists of Royal Opera House Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Euro-Asian Philharmonic, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Opera North, and the Choir of London.

This year’s workshops at UNSW are a little different in that virtuoso performers from around Australia have been invited to present performance masterclasses with UNSW music students.

In this inaugural masterclass, Fiona Campbell will take three promising students through lessons and suggestions drawn from her years of professional experience.

Free and open to the public.
