Second Recital By 2016 SIPCA Winner Andrey Gugnin

The Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia has announced that the 2016 competition winner, Russia’s Andrey Gugnin, will perform a second recital in Sydney on the tails of a sell-out first recital.

A graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Andrey has been a frontrunner in numerous contests including the Beethoven International Piano Competition and the Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition. He has performed in over 20 countries and major halls around the world, such as the Brahms Hall in Vienna, Auditorium du Louvre and the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory.

Andrey Gugnin will perform a different programme for this second recital which will include

Ludwig van Beethoven: Fantasia in G minor Op.77
Franz Liszt: Faribolo Pastour S.236/1
Franz Liszt: Transcendental Étude Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Enrique Granados: El Amor y la muerte (Balada) from ‘Goyescas’ Op.11
Maurice Ravel: Une Barque sur l’Océan from ‘Miroirs’ No.3
Mily Balakirev: Islamey – Fantasie orientale Op.18

Tickets: General ($55)/ students ($20) /concession senior/pensioner ($45)/ Friends of the Competition ($50).

Each ticket includes a souvenir copy of the Finals Week program from the Sydney Opera House.
