Sydney Antiphony presents ĠEŌL//Now make we joy in this feste… a concert of Yuletide music ancient and new that highlights the carols of the 15th Century Ritson manuscript. Exploring Advent and Christmas music through the ages, the program takes a tour from early English composers, such as Smerte, Lambe and Packe, through the likes of Holst and Warlock, to some brand new works by Australian composers, including Baker, Elsley and Shelley.

Sydney Antiphony is also delighted to invite you to join them for light refreshments following the concert to launch their new CD, MEMORIAM.

Sydney Antiphony is a solo voice ensemble that features some of Sydney’s finest ensemble singers. As a self-directed ensemble, the singers collaborate as chamber musicians in forging a fresh and unique approach to diverse styles of music, ranging from the early Renaissance to the present day, with a particular interest in new Australian works. Since its formation in 2014, the ensemble has maintained a series of self-presented concerts as well as specialised projects such as the popular Brewed Ballads series. Sydney Antiphony is a keen collaborator in a variety of artistic projects including commissions, workshops and recordings; previous partners in collaboration include Alaska Projects, Performance Space and Sydney Chamber Opera. Sydney Antiphony is an entirely self-funded project and its artists remain committed to enriching the musical landscape of Australia.
