Sydney Eisteddfod 2021 Opens For Entries

The Sydney Eisteddfod has returned and is calling for participants to enter its 2021 festival which will run from May to September 2021.

Each year, over 35,000 entrants from across Australia and New Zealand enter the Sydney Eisteddfod to perform in over 300 events including dance, drama, music and song competing for over $400,000 in cash prizes and scholarships. Entrants from beginner to pre-professional have had the opportunity to perform at world-class venues including the Sydney Opera House and Chatswood’s The Concourse, in front of judges who are at the forefront of their field.

The Sydney Eisteddfod has been running since 1933 and is one of the largest and most successful competitive performing arts festivals of its type in the world. The organization’s mission to promote and encourage lifelong engagement with the performing arts, is even more important than ever before after a year in which the arts community has been so deeply impacted by the global pandemic.

Notable alumni have progressed to successful careers in the performing arts around the world and include pianist Simon Tedeschi, sopranos Amina Idriss and Stacey Alleume and Dr Nicholas Milton AM.

Entries close March 12, 2021.
