Sydney Symphony Fellows present Schubert at lunchtime

City Recital Hall Angel Place and Selby & Friends present the musicians of the 2013 Sydney Symphony Fellowship in a performance of Schubert’s great Octet in F major, D.803.

The eight gifted participants of this prestigious training program were recruited to this programme which sees the finest young musicians from around Australia spend a year intensively working with the Sydney Symphony, honing their skills as orchestral musicians..

Now in its 12th year, the Fellowship continues to be run under the expert guidance of Sydney Symphony Principal Viola and Fellowship Artistic Director, Roger Benedict. The string, wind & brass musicians, all under the age of 30 are selected from 300 applications nationwide.

The Fellows for 2013 are:

Rebecca Gill, Violin; Kelly Tang, Violin; Nicole Greentree,  Viola; James sang-oh Yoo, Cello; Laura van Rijn, Flute; Som Howie, Clarinet; Jack Schiller, Bassoon and Brendan Parravicini, French Horn.
