‘The Idea of North’ back live @ the Basement

ARIA Award winning a capella quartet ‘The Idea of North’ returns to their Sydney city haunt, The Basement this week.  Alto Naomi Crellin is back singing with soprano Sally Cameron, tenor Nick Begbie and Andrew Piper, after taking time out for maternity leave.

Here’s what The Basement has to say about The Idea of North:

“They have a distinct sound and style, but they cross many musical genres: jazz, folk, gospel, pop, classical, comedy – exactly what you see and hear at a concert is difficult to describe. You’ll hear songs you know and songs you dont. You’ll hear astonishing arrangements of these songs. You’ll hear them performed with great sensitivity, great energy, by great performers……..You’ll feel you’ve known them for years.”
