Synergy Percussion celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014 with a bang – they will perform Steve Reich’s incomparable Drumming during their anniversary concert.

Inspired by African drumming patterns, this was the work that brought Reich major recognition in 1971. A feast for the ears, it’s so powerful and mesmerising that one critic noted  “it’s a shock when it ends.” Scored for percussionists, singers, whistlers and piccolo, Synergy is joined by Halcyon singers Alison Morgan and Jenny Duck-Chong and piccolo player Lamorna Nightingale in this performance.
