The Australian Voices bring choral theatre to Sydney

Brisbane based a capella ensemble The Australian Voices with Artistic Director and Conductor Gordon Hamilton comes to Sydney in May with a programme that includes MOON, a unique 10 movement choral-theatre love song in several movements that has captivated critics around the world including Gramophone Magazine, which praised their performance: ‘The youthful Australian Voices are well-drilled and boast a crisp, resonant delivery of the sonic goods under Hamilton’s confident direction.

The vocal harmonies of The Australian Voices are accompanied by an array of stunning visual effects. Their performance of MOON at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012 won a 5 star.

The 20-strong choir will also perform works from classical repertoire by Rachmaninoff, Bruckner and Beibl and contemporary Australian works by Gordon Hamilton and Nigel Butterley.
